We have identified the following items related to compatibility between ProCite and Word 2007.
These items are based on testing performed with the public release of Word 2007.
ProCite 5
We have identified major incompatibilities with ProCite 5, and do not recommend using ProCite 5 with Word 2007:
- Word 2007 will sometimes crash with the message, "Microsoft Office Word has encountered a problem and needs to close" when using the Scan Document command.
- Word 2007 will sometimes crash with the message, "Microsoft Office Word has encountered a problem and needs to close", if you use the Revert to Original Text command and delete the bibliography.
Note:
ProCite 5 will not be updated for Microsoft Word 2007 compatibility.
ProCite users running Word 2007 can upgrade to EndNote.
